The Realisation Festival

The Realisation Festival is a gathering for the soul. It takes place in the stunning surroundings of St Giles House in Dorset.

The weekend is an opportunity to reckon with our times, as well as unlearn assumptions and reimagine responses.

The gathering uniquely brings together talks and workshops, music and other imaginative activities to broaden and explore the analysis and ideas. It is led by remarkable artists and improvisers, as well as world class speakers.

Individually and through engaging with others, realisation is fostered in three senses. How to get more real about the world in which we live? How to become more real in ourselves in our response to that world? How to make the insights and ideas that arise from the weekend real?

Alongside group conversations and small groups, the programme offers time to be enriched by workshops and other activities, as well as the parkland around St Giles House. The aim is to have space to confront difficulties and possibilities at the level of mind, body and spirit.

Talks and walks, music and food, contemplation and imagination come together to create room for intellectual, physical and spiritual nourishment, to support personal and social change, and nurture expansive understanding.

The festival is an annual event. Previous speakers have included Iain McGilchrist and Madeleine Bunting, Minna Salami and Rory Stewart. Please look here to browse the contributions from previous years.

Tickets for the 2024 Festival (27th-30th June) available to buy here (or follow the link above).  Please sign up to our mailing list for more information as it becomes available. Do book your ticket early as the festival does sell out.

Participants are asked to come with all that they are and with all that they are contemplating, from disquiets to skills, from convictions to uncertainties. Questions that arise over the weekend are rich and various. Who are we? What characterises our times? What am I being called to do? How do we find the resources for social transformation? How can deep change be fostered? How can the soul thrive in troubled times? What might St Giles House offer given its history and beauty?

If you feel the pressures and potential of being alive now, and seek an opportunity to step back with others who value soul and insight, please join us. Please also be in touch with any questions you may have, too.
